Electrical components are stripped down and cleaned, examined, reworked and replaced with new coach wiring throughout. Equipment for the motorized power coaches is upgraded to the latest micro processor technology control, including new and improved components that ensure extended maintenance with better performance and an enhanced driver interface.

Interiors are fitted with high-grade thermal insulation, including new interior body side and ceiling panels. Interiors are equipped with new ergonomic seating
and commuter equipment to provide enhanced comfort and long lasting vandal-proof durability.

Valves, relays, and piping, are stripped and reworked to specified standards. The components of power motorized coaches that drive the non-powered
coaches are fully reworked and upgraded to ensure trouble-free, reliable service.

Installations include the installation of data loggers, LED lights, inverters, WIFI PA Systems HVACs. Some
projects that Mizana-Engineering has either previously or is currently working on that involve installations
inlude:

• :: Installation of data loggers: In partnership with Tsakane DJC Mizana is installing approximately 64 Data loggers on the 6E/7E PRASA locomotives, with the view of increasing reliability and availability of the said locos.
• :: Installation of HVAC units: The installation of HVAC units in the Shosholoza Fleet in partnership with Vossloh Kiep
• :: Installation of Inverters: Replacement of Motor Alternators and Motor Generators in 10M5, 10M4 and 5M Metrorail Motor Coaches with a Static Inverter
